Skin is the most visible area in a human’s body and if there is something wrong with it, everyone would notice it. It might be small or big but the attention it brings will not matter on its size since it will still weigh the same. One common skin condition is the existence of warts and other people might get away from you just seeing it.
What is a Wart?
Wart is a skin infection seen in the top layer of the skin which is caused by viruses in the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) family. When this virus invades the outer layer of your skin, even though a tiny scratch, warts can be formed. When you ask a dermatologist, the most common way of getting a wart is a direct skin-to-skin contact to people with existing warts such as shaking hands. The virus can also be obtained from objects used by someone who has an existing wart, one common example is a towel.
How to get rid of Warts?

Since a wart is caused by HPV virus, it will just be gone over time depending on someone’s immune system. Some warts do last long before it will disappear so might want to opt for a faster solution. The fastest method of removing warts is by using salicylic acid or 100% trichloroacetic acid (TCA).
Duct tape is also discussed as one of the remedies to remove warts. After putting imiquimod 5% cream, put duct tape which will localize medication on a specific area where the cream was used. The method is known as Duct Tape Occlusion Therapy (DTOT) which chokes the wart on the process. But this is not a recommended method for it last long before you see the result.
Applying cantharidin is also a way to treat warts. This option is expensive but will give you the fastest result. You just have to ask your doctor about this treatment since this have some pain involved. It will be your doctor that will apply the medication and do recommendations for best results.
